Next month, St. Cloud State University will be hosting its annual fall Pubic Astronomy Nights during the first two weeks of November on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. These popular planetarium shows and telescope viewings require reservations but are free to the public. To get information on this event please go to: http://www.stcloudstate.edu/physics/planetarium_public.asp
The planetarium shows will highlight objects visible during the evenings, such as: Jupiter, the binary star Albeireo, the Ring Nebula, and the various constellations visible at this time.
The planetarium staff is happy to present the Public Astronomy Nights each fall and spring. During the Public Astronomy Nights we present 18 shows to over 1000 people each fall and spring. During the last academic year (2007-2008), a total of 166 planetarium shows were given to over 7,000 people.
